Linking the past with the future of the Ocean Beach Community

The Ocean Beach Library was originally built in 1928 and was expanded in 1962. This Design-Build expansion project will include a complete renovation of the existing 3,571 sqft while also providing an all new addition of 5,233 sqft. Our team aims to restore the historical aesthetics from 1928 and provide an expansion that compliments the historical library.

Design Build Renovation and Addition to the Historic Ocean Beach Library. Contract includes a historical preservation and renovation to the part of the building from 1923, which includes upgrades to all interior and exterior spaces while maintaining historical aesthetics and appearance. There will also be an addition in order for the City to accommodate more up to date library functions. All new construction and renovations include new electrical, HVAC, plumbing, interior finishes, and exterior finishes. Spaces being updated and added include new children’s area, new teen spaces, new adult areas, new community room for multifunction use, and upgrades staffing areas for private break rooms and back of the house functions. The idea of this project is to link the past of the OB community to the future.
